Shu’s Green Bean Almondine
This is another one of those simple yet rave inducing side dishes, I’ll actually be making it this Sunday as part of the Mother’s Day dinner I’m making.
1 pound fresh or frozen French cut green beans,
½ stick of butter,
1 ½ jiggers (roughly 3 ounces) of Amaretto, this is a vital ingredient,
Salt & pepper to taste,
Heat a saucepan to medium heat, melt butter, add the green beans and stir. Cook for 3 minutes then add the Amaretto & salt & pepper & simmer till fully cooked. Garnish liberally with sliced almonds and serve.
